Describe: Our school is approachable, welcoming, and inviting – we are truly a neighborhood school. We have great teachers and staff working together with our community partners and mentors to meet the needs of students. We are data driven and student centered.

Stellar Points: Our master schedule allows all staff to collaborate to better meet the needs of each student. All students receive instruction in language arts, math, science, social studies, art, music, PE, computers, and library. We go above and beyond to meet each child's needs. Students love the playground.

Special Offerings: LifeSpring Church, our next door neighbor, works closely with us to provide the most for our kids and our families; Kids Hope Mentoring, including 32 mentorships; Title I school with strong technology focus; culturally responsive leadership team; No Place for Hate designation; Breakfast in the Classroom for all students.

Extracurricular: Club 182 enrichment classes offered at LifeSpring Church; Rotary Kids Pack; Safe Route to Schools; Homework Club; HABIC (Human Animal Bond in Colorado); TEA grant funded Clickers & Composers and Reading Buddies; proactive bully prevention – Bully Blockers; Girls Gotta Run; Kids Yoga; Martial Arts classes; Ram's Club; Math, Literacy, and PBiS Family Nights; Community Pozole Dinner; OmniGlobe; Battle of the Books

Climate: We are a welcoming, friendly, and approachable school with a neighborhood spirit that includes incredible financial assistance and volunteer support from LifeSpring Church (enrichment, summer school programs). We are very inclusive – all staff work toward the goal of providing a safe and welcoming environment in order to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student.

Accomplishments: Over 95 percent of parents participate in our half-hour parent/teacher conferences; TEA Crystal Apple Award winning teachers; TEF Educator of the Year recipient; Rotary Club Teacher of the Year Award winner; Poudre Valley Health System Healthy Kids Club; 9News Health Fair in the classroom; several trainers of trainers on staff lead professional development classes and book studies.

Parent/Volunteer: We have a strong core group of parents and volunteers who work diligently to support the programs and activities of our school. More than 15 volunteers contributed over 100 hours of volunteer time to Sarah Milner Elementary School last year.
